Simply Staged Inc - Rockford Area Home Staging Blog: Belvidere Home Before/After

Belvidere Home Before/After

Simply Staged was hired to prepare this Belvidere home for sale.  In addition to the staging, the seller's implemented our recommendations for painting, packing, removing extra items to storage, and a few updates.  This Belvidere home was staged with a combination of the seller's furnishings and Simply Staged rentals.

Michele:

Well done. Much better lighting and arrangement of the furniture have made a great difference here.  Your services are needed to help people sell their homes in a much shorter time.

Michele, what a huge difference!  I love the way you simplified the artwork in the living room.  Going from 6 paintings and a propeller(?) to one large abstract artwork was a great idea.  Great job.

Michele- good job.  There was so much going on in the living room that I didn't see the fireplace until my second look at the room.

Whew -- now we can breathe while looking at the living room ... great transformation Michele!  I too like how you simplified all that wall decor into one strong piece.  The fireplace is now the true focal point that it deserves to be.  The loft is now well-defined to show several possible uses (comfortable seating area .... desk space .... game table).  Nice job!

Don't you just love it when the homeowners take your words to heart?  Everything is bright, crisp and clean.  Nice job!

It feels so much more open! Very nice, Michele.

Congratulations. Your home staging is being featured in the group Staging Before and After Pictures group.

Michele, you did an excellent job making these rooms look bigger, brighter and more inviting.

Michele, great job! You certainly opened up the loft and living room.

Great job Michele. The decluttering and cleaning up opened up the rooms and a buyer who is coming through this house will now be able to envision themselves living there.

Actually, I was going to say, "What wonderful examples of how there is so much more to staging than decluttering and straightening up!"  Bravo!

Thanks Claudette &  Sally! I thought the propeller was a clever idea for living, but for selling we depersonalized it.

Thanks Kathy - the fireplace was a great focal in that room.

Thank you Maureen.  Editing the loft really showed how large the space is.  You can't see in the photo, but prior to staging there was a whole set of bookcases at the other end too.  Convenient for living, but too much furniture for selling.

Thank you Patsy & Cathy!

Thank you Kathy - I appreciate the feature!

Thanks Gabe and Janice - making sure walkways to surrounding rooms were not blocked was important when determining furniture layout in the family room.

Thanks Brigit & Nancy.  So true Nancy - staging is not just decluttering and straightening up.

Hi Michele, after decluttering you will often get comments from clients saying they couldn't imagine living "like that". If they mean that now we can breathe in the space as stated above I would take that option every time. Then again, I like the minimalist look and feel highly uncomfortable in crowded spaces. Definitely allows the space to speak for itself. Job well done!

Very nice open concept home. You did a great job of keeping the space functional.

It's funny, I had the same thought that Maureen did when I saw the after shots...I can breathe now!  Great job!

Loving the loft space, what a great gathering spot for family to work and relax alongside one another.  The before pic felt "anxious", in the after I can imagine a puzzle being assembled on the table, a teen lounging on the sectional while a parent sits at the desk to do a little "catch-up"...

Wow, great work!  Owner occupied homes can be a lot of work.....you really helped this place a lot!
