This Rockford IL home was recently staged by Simply Staged Inc. The home sellers were already partially moved out when we were brought in. (That is why some of the before shots are sparsly decorated.) We were able to use a combination of their existing furniture along with additional pieces brought in for staging.
Simply Staged Inc. also assisted the sellers with wallpaper removal and neutralized paint colors throughout the home. This is a lovely, large home so I have only provided photos of a few areas.
When you view the before/after of the master suite notice the bedroom set that was in place when we arrived. This set was originally in one of the kid's room, since the master bedroom furniture had already been moved to the new home. As you can see, we all agreed it was necessary to bring in new furniture for the master and move the white furniture back into the kid's room. However, we were able to utilize the seller's existing sofa/chairs from the formal living room in the master bedroom sitting area.

The home looks huge! I love what you did!! Removing window treatment made an impact too! You utilized their furniture with their best and potential buyers best interests in mind and created a gorgeous home! BRAVO!!!! I hope you are resting-this install looks like more than a days work!
Very nice. Makes the house look so much more inviting. I want my home staged for living!
Michele ~ Very nice! I love the way the sunroom turned out!
Thanks Cathy. Yes, the home is very large. Too big to include all the rooms in this post. It was certainly a fun project to work on.
Thank you Kim! Why not stage your home for living? I hear so often from home sellers that they wish they had made the changes before moving so they could enjoy it too.
Thanks Kathy! I like that sunroom too - great size and opened onto private, mature yard. What a great room for summer entertaining.
Michele, great job. You made rooms look cozier and more inviting (instead of huge, empty spaces with furniture in all the wrong places). I'm glad you painted the bathroom. :)
Loving the sunroom! I just previewed a house with a large sunroom, and am considering similar treatment. Very nice!
mICHELLE ~ i LOVE WHAT YOU DID! ONE THING THAT CAUGHT MY EYE is the seating area in the bedroom. Staging is flawless!
Thanks Sylvie!
Cheryl, removing the valances is the sunroom had a big impact. It is a great room with a beautiful view, but your eyes kept going to the dated window coverings.
Thanks Fernando! The sitting area in the master was very large. In fact it was the size of some family rooms. What a luxury!
As always Michele, your staging is not only beautiful, but effective. When projects are this large, it's often difficult to keep the flow and creativity, but you did it famously! I too LOVE the sitting area of the Master - my next home will have one of those.
Thank you Debra! You are so right. This project was not a rush, so I had time to regroup as projects were coming along. Fun way to work.
Michele - I missed this post. Not sure how. Your photos look so sharp and nice!! And the staging - well, what a huge difference.
Congratulations. Your post is being featured in the group; Staging Before & After Pictures.
Kathy
Thank you Kathy!
Great work Michelle, I really like the family room furniture. Is it your own stock? It doesn't look like the typical rental. I'd send in a professional photographer ...you'd get some awesome pictures. Beautiful work!
This staging looks great. My favorite transformation is the sitting area off the master. The window treatment really draws your eye through the room to see the expansiveness of it. It looks very cozy. Really nice.
Thanks Margaret! I love that sectional too - I also used it in the Rockford Parade of Homes. I sure would love to have a professional photographer on every job!
Thank you Cynthia. Window coverings generally convey with the home, so we are not always able to place them. In this case that window was just calling out for attention - there was no getting around it. It was well worth the $$.
Wow Michele, what a transformation! I am so impressed with the last after photo of the living/family room. What a difference that brown sectional makes compared to the purple one! And how did you get that art hung over the fireplace? Great job!
Thanks Tessa! The art about the fireplace is a light canvas, so we didn't need a heavy mounting piece.
Michele, excellent job, I also especially liked the sitting area of the Master and the family room with the fireplace. You made a marvelous transformation. the rooms are so large, you did a good job of giving a feeling of fullness without overstuffing!
Thank you Joanne! It is one of the larger sitting areas I have seen as part of the master suite - what a relaxing place to get away.
Michele,
Every room turn out gorgeous!!! What a great job you did. Wonderful space planning and beautiful design. If I were the sellers I would be asking you to Stage to Live my next home. Just outstanding!!!
Great furniture, it amazes sometimes how people get along with so little furniture. It's either too sparse, or too cluttered.
Thanks Linda & Cindy! In this home, the sellers had partially moved out, so that is why it is showing so sparse. Although, like you, I have been in numerous homes decorated sparsely in which we bring in accessories to stage the home for selling.
I was so relaxed looking at the photos, very serene and warm. Great job!
