We really enjoyed working on this Rockford home.  It was certainly a team effort in order to prepare it for sale.  We assisted the sellers in implementing our recommendations and then staged the home using their existing furniture (repurposed) along with some of Simply Staged Inc. accessory rentals.

Painting, packing, updating bathrooms, refinishing wood floors, repurposing furniture, minor repairs and we still were not able to accomplish Everything on our "to do" list.  Like most sellers, the budget came into play.  Another factor is knowing how much you should spend on those updates and see a return on your investment and/or make a significant difference in selling.  More often than not, we are not able to complete all the updates, but knowing what to focus on can save the seller money and time on market. 

At this home we selectively choose which projects would have the most impact, be a good return on investment and budget friendly.  This is where working with a Professional Home Stager can make the process less stressful and less expensive by focusing dollars where they will have the most impact.

Rockton Area Home Stager, Simply Staged Inc. was hired to transform this Rockton home for sale.  The home was previously on market without success.  Before it was listed again the sellers decided to have the home staged.  A few of the before/after pictures documenting the transformation are below.

We utilized the seller's furniture and brought in Simply Staged rental accessories to compliment their belongings.  Painting, packing, cleaning and organizing were all completed under the guidance of Simply Staged Inc. 

 

 

We are pleased to announce this Belvidere home went under contract 66 days after being staged!  Comparable homes in the same area and price range are averaging 184 days on market. 

Most of the "before" photos were taken after furniture was repositioned, so I don't have many True before/afters to share with you.  But I did find these before/after photos of the dining room.

Wall paper removal, painting, updating light fixtures, and a few other jobs throughout the home were completed by the sellers as recommended by Simply Staged.  Once all the jobs were complete, Simply Staged brought in rental accessories to complement the seller's belongings.

As with many older Victorian homes you had to walk through rooms to get to other rooms.  When vacant these rooms made the home feel confusing.  You really were not sure what room you were in and how it could be used.  Staging each room took the mystery out of the home's floor plan, flow and answered the question, "How is this floor plan livable?"

Diana and I would like to thank you again for the work you did preparing our home for sale.  Our neighborhood had quite a few similar houses on the market, including foreclosures, which were really dragging prices down.  We had nearly given up on being able to sell our house in this market when we started working with a new Realtor and she recommended your services.
